  • Collaborate closely with Research, Programs, Advocacy and Office of the CEO (OCEO) teams to translate jargon-filled publications and ideas into social media communications materials.
  • Develop and oversee an organisation-wide content calendar.
  • Develop social media goals and tracking with the Senior Communications Associate and report monthly on metrics and progress toward goals.
  • Develop email marketing campaigns for Equimundo’s programmes and initiatives that promote reports, events, blog posts, news articles and other content.
  • Liaise with members of Research, Programs, OCEO and Advocacy teams to prioritise and source relevant information.
  • Coordinate and oversee Equimundo’s Substack account.
  • Lead website management with internal staff and external vendors.
  • In coordination with the CACCO, develop and execute an organisation-wide communications and PR strategy that includes a calendar mapped to the organisation’s ongoing events, reports and other activities.
  • Support report launches, conference preparation and other external events where Equimundo will be represented.
  • Review and edit written communications materials, including press releases, blogs, op-eds and impact storytelling.
  • In coordination with the Advocacy, Research, Program, OCEO and Business Development teams, develop an overarching organisational story/narrative that can be told across platforms and external communications.
  • Develop strategies, approaches and collateral that map across all the ways the organisation communicates externally.
  • Supervise the Senior Communications Associate and Multimedia Communications Associate, including conducting regular check-ins, providing regular feedback, completing yearly reviews and approving work products.
  • Manage vendors and consultants, with a specific focus on public relations, graphic design and potentially more.
  • Build processes to coordinate with department leads, staff and the OCEO to ensure Equimundo’s global work is appropriately amplified across digital platforms, media and the website.


Requirements


  • An undergraduate degree, with a concentration in communications, graphic design, journalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience of 3 years in a professional setting.
  • Passion for Equimundo’s mission and social justice.
  • Affinity and experience in gender equality, social justice and/or work with men and boys and healthy masculinity.
  • Ability to capture Equimundo’s institutional voice and create communications assets for its audience.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation across the organisation.
  • Ability to advise leadership on communication trends, issues and strategies.
  • Ability to oversee the development and maintenance of Equimundo’s brand identity and messaging.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Experience in media outreach.
  • Creativity.
